NLA Identifies Unclaimed $50,000 Refurbishment Allowance

National Lease Advisors saved a rapidly growing retailer a $50,000 refurbishment allowance. With the location count growing, their team was focused on sourcing new locations and construction on new build-outs. When an existing lease was renewed, they received a $50,000 refurbishment allowance that must be used or forfeited within one year. While they performed a refurbishment, they did not submit the TI package for reimbursement. When NLA was onboarding the retailer as a new client, we audited all their leases and found the deadline approaching within 30 days. NLA notified them of the necessary documentation for reimbursement and submitted to the landlord, with the landlord then paying the $50k allowance to the client.
