National Lease Advisors Inc. recently announced the addition of Amanda Muna to the team as a lease administrator. Amanda will take on a leadership role and help manage the firm’s fast-growing lease accounting services.
Amanda joins National Lease Advisors from the Fort Worth office of big four accounting firm, KPMG. She is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting.
For National Lease Advisors President Ed Muna, the decision to recruit Amanda was an easy one. “With the new lease accounting standard, ASC 842, a critical part of providing quality lease administration services is being able to guide our clients through the adoption process and deliver the ongoing financial reports necessary for compliance. We have been looking for an experienced accountant to lead this service line, and it became a priority with the growth we have been fortunate to experience,” said Muna. “Amanda had the experience we needed, and the fact that I get to work with my daughter is icing on the cake.”
Samantha Mitchum, the firm’s Director of Lease Administration, is delighted about her arrival. “Amanda’s accounting background brings invaluable experience to the lease administration team. This is important with lease accounting becoming a priority for many of our clients,” says Mitchum.
While new to the company, Amanda is no stranger to the team at National Lease Advisors. Her father, Ed Muna, and brother, Michael Muna, founded the company
National Lease Advisors has created a niche in the commercial real estate industry by focusing on lease administration, lease audit, and adoption services for ASC 842, the new lease accounting standard. In addition to working directly with U.S.-based companies, the firm has developed an alliance program to serve the clients of commercial real estate brokers that exclusively represent tenants.
